Hi, I’m Megan, the maker behind The Sweet Sunflower Shop.

I’m a wife, mom to a sweet little girl, and dog mom to two pups who keep life full, loud, and full of tiny paw prints.

I started my shop a few years ago making custom gifts for people, and over time it grew into something much bigger than I ever expected. What began as a creative outlet turned into a place where I could make meaningful, personalized pieces for homes, families, pets, and special moments.

My love for woodworking really began when I started creating custom closing gifts for my husband’s real estate clients. There was something so special about making a piece that would become part of someone’s new home story. That’s when I realized how much I loved working with wood, designing one-of-a-kind pieces, and creating gifts that felt both beautiful and personal.

Today, The Sweet Sunflower Shop focuses on handcrafted wooden gifts and home pieces, including custom signs, 3D pet portraits, recipe stands, trivets, key holders, and personalized closing gifts. Each piece is made with care using wood, stain, paint, engraving, and thoughtful details that make it feel truly one of a kind.

A lot of my work is inspired by the idea that the best pieces in a home tell a story: a beloved pet, a family name, a favorite recipe, a first home, or a gift given at just the right moment.
